2015 - Year in Review
December 31, 2015
With the new year fast approaching, I've started looking back over all the photos I took and project I worked on over the past 12 months. I must say it has been one of the most productive year and proud of what I've accomplished this year.
This year I've had 2 major exhibits; Two Magical Places, Two Cultures, Two Photographers and Form. Both exhibits were well-received. I also got to work on a body of work which I refer to as "White" and "Movement". "White" is essentially hi-key portrait. This work was inspired by Harry Callahan, Richard Avedon and Robert Mapplethrope. "Movement" is capturing dance and/or martial arts in motion or movement.
In 2016 I plan to work on my BodyScapes and Movement projects.
I personally like to thank my friend and mentor Richard Dischler for helping me with my projects. My friends Maynard Z, Phil P, Gabriel M, Krista F and Lisa for being great test subjects and allowing me to experiment. You guys are awesome! Thank you.
